We’re fortunate to have multiple positions dedicated to our mission of gratitude and donor retention. It has taken several years to grow our team of stewardship professionals to this size, and many of us have been with UGA for more than seven-years!
In addition to our team, an army of Stewies in departments across the university are also dedicated to donor relations and stewardship efforts within their units. Team Stewardship brings all of us together and ensures that we’re thinking of our donors holistically.
Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship
The Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship oversees all projects produced by the office. By serving as the direct report for the Associate Director and Assistant Directors, this position supervises the team and drives the collective mission of acknowledging, recognizing, stewarding, and engaging University-wide giving at the University of Georgia.
Associate Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship
The Associate Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship serves as the liaison to various administration offices and coordinates the Presidential donor visit process, donor-facing and internal event logistics, and general office management. This position works with University Administration and development officers to schedule donor visits, create briefings, and generate necessary follow-up as well as manage Development-related invitation lists and guest briefings. The Associate Director is also responsible for managing signature events (Thank a Donor Day and PAWS Reception), coordinating Presidents Club Reception with the Office of Special Events, and managing Cumulative Giving Society recognition. This role oversees two Presidential Stewardship Coordinators and administrative staff partially provided to the unit.

Assistant Director of Scholarship Stewardship
The Assistant Director of Scholarship Stewardship manages and implements strategic stewardship for scholarship funds university-wide. This position works with Admissions, Financial Aid, Instruction, and the Regional and Constituent-based development teams to ensure that endowed and non-endowed scholarship funds are properly awarded and stewarded. The Assistant Director produces Scholarship Gratitude Reports for centrally and departmentally awarded scholarships three-times per year and coordinates personalized experiences for scholarship donors to meet or hear from their recipients. This position also manages ThankView use for all departments through onboarding, procedural guidelines, and creative assistance.
Assistant Director of Donor Reporting & Communication
The Assistant Director of Donor Reporting and Communications implements strategic stewardship reports, oversees the communications plan, and creates Team Stewardship programming for stewardship coordinators campus-wide. This position works with UGA Foundation and development teams to create lifetime stewardship reports and UGAF trustee annual giving reports. The Assistant Director is also responsible for managing the production of financial reporting, impact reporting, and Thanksgiving Stewardship. This position additionally creates internal/external presentations that promote the success of the office and is supported by the work of the Donor Reporting Coordinator.

Senior Presidential Stewardship Coordinator
Reporting to the Associate Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship, the Senior Presidential Stewardship Coordinator manages the personalized process of Presidential gift acknowledgements, annual recognition, and event assistance. This position works collaboratively with the Presidential Stewardship Coordinator, Development Directors, and development officers and is responsible for creating highly personalized, accurate Presidential acknowledgements for major gifts, pledges, and planned gifts. The Presidential Stewardship Coordinator also manages Presidents Club welcome packet and decal mailings and compiles the digital and print Annual Honor Roll of Donors. This position also supervises Presidents Club Reception ambassadors, leads coordination for the PAWS Reception, and supports the production of Thank a Donor Day and other presidential stewardship needs. Two student workers report to the Senior Presidential Stewardship Coordinator.
Presidential Stewardship Coordinator
Reporting to the Associate Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship, the Presidential Stewardship Coordinator supports the personalized process of Presidential gift acknowledgements and recognition programs. This position works collaboratively with the Presidential Stewardship Coordinator, Development Directors, and development officers and is responsible for creating highly personalized, accurate Presidential acknowledgements for major gifts, pledges, and planned gifts. The Presidential Stewardship Coordinator also coordinates Cumulative Giving Society recognition and Founding Presidents Club. This position also provides event support, assists the Associate Director with budget management, and coordinates the invoicing and accounts payable processes with the assistance of our shared support roles.

Donor Reporting Coordinator
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Donor Reporting and Communications, the Donor Reporting Coordinator produces accurate, personalized donor reporting for major and principle gifts. This position works collaboratively with UGA Foundation, development officers, and stewardship coordinators to create personalized Financial Endowment Reports, Faculty Gratitude Reports, and the bi-annual Presidents Club Newsletter. The Donor Reporting Coordinator also coordinates seasonal stewardship and is significant to successful collaboration within the team by maintaining the Stewardship Overview and creating the monthly Team Stewardship Newsletter, The Stew.
*Outside of her job description, this position works with development officers to collect donor statements and stewardship preferences during the endowed fund agreement process.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Donor Reporting and Communications, the Stewardship Coordinator produces timely, meaningful acknowledgements for annual gifts and supports the execution of personalized stewardship reports. This position works collaboratively with DARCOMM, Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, and stewardship officers across campus to acknowledge first time and second time gifts, loyalty milestones, Third Pillar, PAW Society, 1961 Club, Chapters Scholarship donors, Giving Day donors, and Annual Giving donors to unrestricted funds. The Stewardship Coordinator also coordinates top donor birthday cards and assists with seasonal stewardship. In addition, this position is significant to successful major gift stewardship by assisting in the production of personalized reporting.
Reporting to Parent Giving, this shared position is critical to operations of the office by supporting accounts payable processes and other needs as determined.
