Thank a Donor Day Video
Filmed at Thank a Donor Day and produced by DARCOMM, the Thank a Donor Day video is emailed once as a stand-alone, blanket stewardship piece every spring. This includes all donors over the past three years $1+, Cumulative Giving Societies, UGA Foundation Trustees, and endowment representatives. Then, it is repurposed for our acknowledgement email to first-time donors throughout the following fiscal year.

The annual Thanksgiving video contains a message of gratitude and holiday greetings during the best time of year to thank our supporters. This video is coordinated by Donor Relations and Stewardship but produced by DARCOMM, and it is distributed as blanket stewardship the week of Thanksgiving. Blanket stewardship includes all donors over the past three years $1+, Cumulative Giving Societies, UGA Foundation Trustees, and endowment representatives. Our 2018 and 2019 videos were well-loved by our administration and shared widely across the university! With record-breaking likes and impressions on social media, we take a lot of pride in the production of this video every year.

Thanksgiving Popup Card
Top donor Thanksgiving popup cards began in 2018 as a special touch to enhance stewardship for Platinum Presidents Club, which was newly created at the time. Cumulative Giving Societies and UGA Foundation Trustees are also included in this mailing. The design features a changing scene of campus in the fall and will continue as a series highlighting our landmarks as the birthplace of public higher education.

Birthday cards continue our relationship with top donors and prospects, including donors with a cumulative giving total of $500,000+, UGA Foundation Trustees, and prospects of $1 million+. We also send our birthday card to fundraisers and other key staff, hopefully to inspire them to initiate similar personal touches for their donors. As with many of our acknowledgements and communications, we take pride in designing a new birthday card each year to bring a little bit of surprise and energy to the mailing. By remembering that our top donors have already bought into our mission, we enjoy thinking outside of the box; we lean away from institutional messaging and focus on a unique and playful message!
